My New Routine

I have enlisted the help of another blogger to get me started on an exercise routine.  This will be my plan for the next few weeks.  We have had several email discussions and while she is not a personal trainer, she is a dedicated to her exercise and what better person to team up with than someone who is passionate about what they are sharing.  I do fully understand that it is my responsibility to keep this in check and go with what works for me and my body.  Mainly, this was to help me be accountable to myself.  So here is the routine:
Day 1: 30 minutes of cardio total but with a 5 minute warm up & cool down so it would be 20 minutes of cardio – either walking, walking the stairs or a combo of both.
Day 2: Resistance training – full body either with your weights or one of your DVD’s if you have one that is an easier all body routine…. 20 to 30 minutes
Day 3: Rest and yoga
Day 4: Cardio like day 1 or another form of cardio…. with your cardio, I want you to link in to how you are feeling & don’t slack. Work yourself. Use a rate of perceived exertion.
Day 5: like day 2
Day 6 & 7: Active rest or rest and/or yoga. I always take one full day off from it all. Actually 2 but often I might do some ab/core work on that other off day but nothing too much.
