This is very interesting.... I will definitely try to create a new palette. Not just for food and exercise but also with other parts of my life.

I love me some instant gratification - but doesn't everyone? Every little step adds up - if we only give it the time it needs. Great post.

Love that analogy! And it is so true that it is all about baby steps and incorporating small changes.

What a great post & analogy!! This is a lifestyle change & that is the hardest thing for people to grasp.. it takes time & ya have to be patient & consistent. When Dr. J guest posted for me, I said that about giving your body & mind & taste buds time to change to this... they do... you can actually end up loving your new food PLUS the spices make it taste good!

Cool post. I may have to try fish again as I am not a fish person! :-) I do take a fish oil supplement though.

Two things: my wife hates seafood and I'm going to persuade her to try your method.

And, Dr. Seuss's little fish gem is my toddler's favorite book. Couldn't agree more with what you've said here. And you win greatest header of the day!

I'm sure you're going through many changes: First the thoughts changed for a life, more undestandable, more rewarding and to showcase your authenticity. I guess fish is part of your authentic self. : )
Sending you rays of healing light.

It absolutely takes time to build our palettes to coincide with this lifestyle change. I was raised with clean eating (for the most part), but processed food became my world after leaving home. Going back to clean eating has taken time, and I'm still not done making those changes. It will be a lifelong commitment and process. Clean eating is slowly becoming habit again, and I am so excited about it. I like the baby steps and the "small yet significant" accomplishments along the way!
