What Type of Person are You?

Bo Bennett says “A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievement.”  We all have dreams. Dreaming and using our imagination is one of the biggest parts of growing up. Often though, our families, teachers, and peers can influence us, even today, and we still leave our dreams in the longing stage.  These opinion’s do have an influence on what we do, even years later.

Turning our dreams into goals takes action.  We need support to achieve our goals, no matter what they are.  We should align ourselves with Type “E” people.  We have all heard about Type “A” and Type “B” personalities.  Type “A” people are often described as “stress junkies”. They are competitive, aggressive, and have trouble relaxing.  Type “B” people are patient, relaxed, easy-going, and lack any sense of urgency.  They are often described as disengaged.  Yes, there can be people who are a mixture of those personalities depending on the area of life they are dealing with.

I came up with the term Type “E” people while trying to describe the type of people I want in my life.  These are the people who enrich, empower, encourage, and enable you to grow.  They guide us to soar to where our imagination and dreams can take us; to achieve what we want in our lives.  They support us to push beyond our fears and our limitations.  They become the wind beneath our wings.

Who are the Type E people in your life?  Who encourages you? Who empowers you?  Are you a Type “E” person yourself?  What can you do to enrich, empower, and encourage others?

When we have Type “E” people in our lives, it becomes easier to take those small, necessary action steps, each and every day.
