Define your Journey

WOW!  Not one but TWO awards this week.  I feel lucky, oh so, LUCKY!  (Wasn’t there a line from a movie, I feel pretty, oh so, PRETTY!)

Sorry, that’s what happens to me in the wee hours of the morning, my thoughts stray. Back to the subject at hand.

Just Another Fat Girl and The Me Within both awarded me the versatile blogger award.  This is more than just an honor.  It represents what I am trying to do with my life.  To live it, and live it with the bombshell attitude.

Trying new things to find out what I like, what I don’t AND what I have to do to get to the results I want.  Yes, a lot of us refer to it as a journey.  Karen, at Waisting Time, has been looking at the journey.  The word journey brings to mind a particular quote.  It’s not the destination, its the journey.  There are numerous variations of that quote.  It’s the actions you take with integrity and value that are important.

Sir Winston Churchill said, “Every day you make progress.  Every step my be fruitful.  Yet, there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever ascending, ever-improving path.  You know you will NEVER get to the end of the journey. But this, far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.”

With that in mind, how would you define your journey.  Do you become discouraged when things don’t always appear successful?  Do you say to yourself, “I will start again?”  With that quote in mind, it tells me, there are NO DO-OVERS, but there are MANY paths to take.  Each choice gives you a different scenery.

As I prepare for my newest adventure, (The Artist Way Forum) I bought a new book for my morning pages.   The quote on the front pf the journal is how I want to define this part of my journey.  A Series of thousands of tiny Miracles!  Some of you may be asking, “What the heck does this have to do with weight loss, body image, healthy living?”   My answer:   EVERYTHING.  It is all a matter of perspective and how you wish to DEFINE your life.  THEN take the tiny steps, numerous times a day, with the versatility that makes you WHO you ARE!  Don’t just focus on one or two things, you believe, will change your life.  FOCUS on your life because things will continue to happen anyway.

What would be your versatile step today?  Something outside the norm.  Tell me the first thing that comes to mind! Dare ya!
