Life is Good!
Ms. PJ Geek over at PJ’s and Pounds gave me this award about a week ago! I took me a bit to get back to it, but I wanted to give the award the justice and time it deserved. What better day than Slice of Life Saturday! So which slice shall it be?
Spirituality, Body Image, Self-Care, Career, Relationships, Finances, Fun & Recreation, or Home. (Funny thing about when I write about the slices, there always seems to be one that slips my mind. Not the same one, mind you. But I ALWAYS seem to have one…today it was Home. That is actually HOW I choose what to write about!)
The theory behind the Slice of Life is that you rate your level of SATISFACTION in each of those areas. If you work on the ones that rate the lowest, (what we tend to avoid) instead of the highest (which we tend to naturally “live” in) it begins to shift things in your life. It starts to round out your wheel! What the Heck is a Slice of Life Diet?. (I wrote this July 11, 2009)
What’s cool for me is that I am still LIVING the Slice of Life Diet! So back to the Life is Good award! There are 10 questions that go with this award, but I chose only one! The second part is you are suppose to name 5 bloggers to get the award! Again…a different spin (Yeah, that’s me) I want you to choose the Life is Good award (Or you can choose the Bombshell Award) and bestow it to yourself! Claim the Goodness or Claim the Bombshellness OR BOTH for that matter!) Write a post about WHY you chose the award and then let me know where it is
What would your perfect day consist of?
I choose this question today because it is the way I want to live and the WHOLE basis of of an exercise I often do. It goes with my R.E.A.L. G.O.A.L.S.™ belief! That is my true pursuit of happiness! Ask yourself: What does your perfect day look like? Take some time. Really let yourself go.
My perfect day is filled with Sunshine! A day where I can enjoy the birds singing,or hear the soft subtle sounds of the ocean and feel the breeze on my face, or playing in my garden, or driving with the top down on the convertible, or where my writing just flows freely! I am surrounded by love and family! I can just enjoy being me, living in the moment, and I am KIND! Kind not just to others, but to me! I see and FEEL my value. It is the feeling of being BEYOND the rainbow- where troubles melt like lemondrops, birds fly, and YES! So do I! A perfect day is a day where I can feel my feelings, no longer afraid of them, and JUST be…ME!
NOW, do you do things each day that live up to that description?
YEP! Sure do! I may not have ALL of that everyday but I certainly can find at least one of those things to enjoy! THAT is living!
What about you? What would your perfect day consist of?

Honeslty, the only requirement I would have of a “perfect day”, is one wihtout a clock…….

July 17, 2010 at 12:03 pmI got to say that since I was young, a rainbow always brought to mind Judy Garland singing that song from the Wizard of Oz & I always wished I could go somewhere over the rainbow!
It was the one time when my parents allowed us to eat at TV tables & we all watched The Wizard of Oz together.
As for a perfect day…I can think of a few BUT the one that comes to mind is this amazing hike up a hill on the Big Island of Hawaii. I always did around sunrise when I was there in the past. The beauty, the smells & sounds of Hawaii, the peace of it and the payoff even more of the view & beauty at the top… amazing! I guess this would also fit Roy’s bill too.. no clock!
July 17, 2010 at 12:19 pmHow pathetic am I that I don’t know what my perfect day would be? Right now, after a few days spent with family drama, I might say that a perfect day is being in my own house and with my own routine:) Boring, I know.
