The Power of your Thinking

Today’s Bombshell is Louise Hay.  An author and spiritual teacher, who wrote the best selling, “You Can Heal Your Life”.

She is one of the first to explain the power of positive affirmations and the how your thoughts guide your life.

One of my favorite affirmations, “It’s just a thought and a thought can be changed!”  It is what I have used to help with my past emotional eating issues which circle around body image and self-care.

I am a HUGE believer in this practice.  That is what started my journey many years ago.  One practice I use today in my writing and yes, in my weight loss journey, is looking at the meaning of words.

Does the true meaning of the word coincide with my emotional belief of the word.

So, today, I just want to leave you with these thoughts:  Go watch this  You Can Heal Your Life; it may just change the way you think!

And just a few affirmations for today!

The point of power is always in the present moment.

We are each responsible for all of our experiences.

If we really love ourselves, everything in our life works.

Every thought we think is creating our future.

I will be back tomorrow, with more thoughts on the power of your thinking……….

“It’s just a thought and a thought can be changed!” I love it! SO TRUE!

  4. For me, it’s that time will tell and heal all. That’s the lesson I’m learning and internalizing and I feel that I’ve been set free by this realization.

  5. I was introduced to Louise Hay on video around 1984 and knew she had much to teach me. I watched “You Can Heal Your Life” video and also read her book many times, still using her affirmations. In the mid-70′s I had learned affirmation and Ms. Hay’s was an added + – thanks for writing about her and I’m off to create a new affirmation. You Rock, Jules!

We are so on the same wave-length, Jules. I really like Lousie Hay. Great post and here’s another one for you “Feelings are not facts.”
