The week between Christmas
and
New Year’s is my favorite time of year.
I spend time in reflection,
looking through photographs,
listening to music,
reading past journals,
and now old blog posts
and creating my vision board.
I stopped writing resolutions years ago. I found the disappointment in making unrealistic expectations lead me to live my life guided by those disappointments and fuel to the “negative” talk toward myself. All the while, longing to find my purpose, my passion, my authenticity.
At the same time, goals were difficult for me. Often I could not *see* what I wanted for myself. They all seemed so lofty and I felt I was lying. I needed to come up with something that was just for me.
So now, during this week, I give myself the gift of time, choose a single word as my focus, and devote my thoughts to setting my
R.E.A.L. G.O.A.L.S.™
- Reasonable
- Expectations
- Authentic
- Living
- Good
- Orderly
- Actions
- Leading to
- Success
This week is no different and boy have I got some awesome things planned.
A “no excuses…because I am worth it” challenge with this incredible woman, several product reviews, and a return to weight loss blogging.
Yep, that’s right. Weight loss. (more on that tomorrow) but for now… a glimpse of my road map for 2012. The magical word
