This week's Boot Camp exercise - challenge if you will - is kernel of truth You see, there is a story, just like many of us have a story, that has carried on with it lessons of the ages.  This is the story of how the Indians decide what seeds to plant. Long ago the Indians had to hand-carry the water to their crops.  Since this took a lot of time and a lot of energy they knew that the seeds needed to be strong.  But how could they decide that before going to all that work? Setting Goals and Aligning Values

In my last post, I posted my slice of life ratings. I have taken the last few days to process my ratings and setting some goals for myself.  I had a tie for lowest rated, one being Career.  Remember this is the rating for my level of satisfaction.  As I have stated before, I have a good job, work with good people, and have great benefits.  My level of satisfaction has nothing to do with the job.  It has to do with a dream I have. Learning to Cook – Back to Basics

Have you had a chance to rate your slices?  Its been a busy week but I did have a chance to rate them again for myself and have a couple of goals in mind.   My ratings were as follows:Fun & Rec-5   Finances -5 Body -3  Self-care -4 Relationships -6 Career -3 Home-8 Spirituality - 7So following the plan of the slices, my lowest level of satisfaction actually shows up in two slices, Body and Career. Those are the areas that I will prioritize goals for.  My goal for body is to my body image.  Part of that is to learn how to cook.  Not just follow a recipe but learn my way around the kitchen. Today’s Slice: Career

Remember when you were little and people would ask, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"How many of you are doing what you said you wanted to do?  How many of you are still trying to figure out what you want to be when you grow up?I know I am still figuring that all out. Currently, I just have a job.  I run on the old saying, "Do my eight and hit the gate."
